Based out of Dallas, TX, but traveling quite often to Florida (on business), California (for pleasure), Michigan (for family), and (soon!) Colorado (for camping and hiking), I am an independent online marketer, and I focus on three principle arenas:

  • CPA Marketing (driven by PPC marketing)
  • Affiliate Marketing (primarily ClickBank)
  • Direct high-end sales (built on PPC marketing and SEO)

What inspires me to succeed in these endeavors is the lifestyle inherent in the work. My primary source of income on entering internet marketing was (and remains) selling high-end ultrasound systems to doctors and veterinarians, as well as sterilizers and autoclaves and chemistry analyzers and the like, through our family business, Fisher Biomedical. I built the site and run the PPC advertising and handle the high-end equipment sales. The office is in Florida, but I’m able to live anywhere, and I travel a great deal, working from my laptop and cell phone. It’s been good to me, but the medical industry is getting a bit shaky, and in the end, direct-selling and all of the effort that goes into it is losing its appeal.

My interests outside of online marketing include classical music (mostly piano work, primarily of Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, and Saint-Saens, but also not-so-classical music as well: I’m a huge Radiohead fan, for instance), classic literature (nothing very modern here, however; I’m a huge fan of Shakespeare, Dickens, and Hugo), camping and hiking (especially in Colorado), Photoshop (particularly the grunge style), and international grandmaster-level chess (not that I’m a GM myself, not by a long shot, but I love following the best players and studying the classic games of world champions).

I can’t imagine going into an office every day. I work almost exclusively off of a 17″ MacBook Pro, with a dual-monitor PC (and three cats) in my home office … and I have to say, I’m very happy about the arrangement.
